In this article, we will examine the limitations of the conventional approach of managing dewatering in mineral processing, its assumptions, and the evidence for the need for additional data points to manage the circuit more efficiently. We will probe into the cost of not measuring bed-levels and slurry rheology, along with the limitations of current proxies.
